Cookies & storage
Small pieces of data that keep your session and preferences in place.
Sign-in cookies
Aether Journal uses a temporary login cookie to verify a wallet sign-in and a session cookie to keep you signed in. These cookies are not readable by page scripts and are sent only under the configured site security rules. They expire automatically; signing out removes the sign-in and session cookies. Blocking them prevents wallet sign-in from working.
Local preferences
Local storage remembers your colour theme, wallet connection choice and wallet-specific display name and avatar. A sign-out flag helps prevent an automatic reconnection you did not request. These preferences stay in this browser until changed or cleared.
Journal notes
Notes are saved in local storage for the relevant wallet. They are not synced between devices. Clearing this site’s local storage also removes those local notes and profile customisations, so keep a copy of anything you want to preserve.
Tab and wallet state
Session storage remembers temporary context such as the last wallet and dismissed onboarding during a browsing session. If you choose a third-party wallet connector, it may maintain its own connection or pairing information under that provider’s policies.
No advertising cookies
The current alpha does not use advertising cookies or an optional analytics tracker. If optional tracking is introduced, this page and the relevant preference controls will be updated before it is used.
Managing storage
Sign out to end your Aether Journal session. To remove saved preferences and local notes, use your browser’s site-data settings for this site. Clearing browser data does not delete public blockchain history or information already submitted to the service. For help with other records, contact us.
